Do GOOD…and give back.
We strive to be Anchored in Community through our actions, both as individuals and as members and friends of the First Congregational Church of Kittery. As such, the church community provides services and support through how we give: our time, our actions, and our money.
Examples of this include:
The church community stocks the peanut butter shelf at Footprints, the local food pantry, and at End 68 Hours of Hunger, which provides backpacks of food to children who face food insecurity over the weekends.
The church community sponsors one or more families at the holidays and provides gifts that the family members request, to ensure that holiday wishes are granted.
The church community provides toys at the holidays to The Bear Project and the children on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, one of the poorest areas in the country.
The church participates in Wreaths Across America, providing wreaths for the veterans in our cemetery every December.
The Fellowship of the church provides annual gifts to numerous local and national organizations from money raised at our annual fundraisers. Some examples include: Fair Tide, Footprints Food Pantry, Fuel & More of Kittery, Hospice of York, Seacoast Wheelers, Meals on Wheels, Traip Academy Scholarships, Music Boosters, Parkinsons Unity Walk and many more.
If you’re interested in learning more about any of these projects, or would like to join our efforts, please contact us at kitterypointucc@gmail.com.
