Let’s Make apple pie!

Maria Southworth, Kittery resident and certified pastry chef is offering a ‘Let’s Make Apple Pie!’ class!

Join us on Saturday, November 22 from 1-4 pm in the Parish House Kitchen for a hands-on pie-making afternoon of fun and friendship. Students will be guided through pie making from pate brise, or short crust pastry, to preparing fresh apple pie filling and handmade caramel.

Students will roll out their own pastry and then cut and weave a beautiful lattice top. We will bake our pies together.  Students will go home with their own beautiful and delicious pies and also maybe armed with the inspiration to elevate their pie offerings for their Thanksgiving and holiday celebrations to come!

All materials are provided by the instructor.

$45.00 per person (limited to six participants) with proceeds generously donated to the church by Chef Maria.
