Pastoral Review 2022
Welcome to the Pastoral Review conducted by the Pastoral Relations Committee (PRC). PRC will gather and analyze all answers submitted here. A summary will be presented to council and personnel committees for commentary. Afterward, a summary will be shared with the congregation. The feedback provided here will help the PRC determine Talking Circles topics for 2022.
There is no formal clergy evaluation process within the United Church of Christ. This survey and the review process is adapted from a template put together by the Florida UCC Conference. There are 3 Parts of this Survey. The survey should take 15-30 minutes. Please note that most questions are required, some questions are about our pastor, and some are about our congregation as it relates to our pastor. We require names to be filled out because anonymous surveys are not in the spirit of the UCC approach, however please note that our pastor and lay leadership WILL NOT see the names. All names and answers to this survey will be kept strictly confidential. The summaries to pastor, council and congregation will describe statistics and overall patterns, and will not contain any names or otherwise identifying characteristics.
We pray for the following from each person doing the survey:
Openness, trust and a spirit of discernment.
Honest answers that are more than one word where applicable.
A respectful and loving approach.
Giving this task the time it deserves.
Answering only from your own first hand experiences rather than hearsay.
Remembering that this is meant to be as an exercise for mutual learning and growth.
