Church School 2007-2008

Starting on September 9, 2007 our Church School will kick off the year using a brand new curriculum called Power Express.  You can check it out on the web by clicking here.  This new curriculum allows our Church School to adopt a "rotation model" for our classes.  This means that we will focus on a particular story for an entire month.  Through that month, our students will be exposed to the story in a variety of ways.  This will enable all of our children -- regardless of what type of learner they are (visual, verbal, etc.) to experience the story in a way that will engage them.

The units we will be focusing on this year are the following:
September -- How the Bible Came to Be
October -- Adam and Eve
November -- People Who Made a Difference
December -- Church School Christmas Pageant
January -- Teach Us How to Pray
February -- Psalms and Songs
March -- Journey to the Cross
April -- Easter: Go and Tell
May -- Love Your Enemies
June -- Children's Sunday Preparations

We believe that this will be the most exciting year yet for our Church School and we hope you'll plan to join us this year.  Church School is for all youth from ages 3-13.  We also have nursery care available, every Sunday, for our youngest members not old enough for Church School yet.
